Flags Lowered Sunrise May 11 as a Mark of Respect for Former NYS Assemblymember Aurelia Greene (on behalf of Cmsr. Abeywardena)  
As a mark of respect for former New York State Assemblymember Aurelia Greene, all flags shall be lowered to half-staff at sunrise on May 11, 2021, by order of the Mayor of the City of New York, Bill de Blasio. Flags shall return to full-staff at sunset on May 11, 2021.   This includes all flags – the American  flag, the New York State and City flags, and the POW-MIA flag – on all City buildings, as well as stationary flagstaffs throughout the five boroughs.
